I am new(er) to the 1/8 buggy scene. I noticed that when I got my 8ight that it doesnt have a return spring on it, should it have or is it all done in the servo??? I have a JR Z4800s throttle servo......What do you guys do?

put a rubber band on it, put it on the ball end where the linkage snaps on then around the carb(push it down as far as you can)

i was told to make sure the rubber band is level to the carb ball where the linkage connects because ifs at an angle then it can bind the carb


if u use a spring it eats up the carb boot

ive never had a carb boot tear from the springs, i run a softer one from the ballstud on the carb to the pressure nipple on my pipe

+1. I use the Goody clear Ouchless hair bands also. Every time this topic comes up I recommend those clear silicone bands. You can get then at Wal-Mart where the hair clips and berrettes are.

if that underpowered servo goes....... all the rubberbands and springs in the world wont stop it from taking off
