Default Starter Box Stopped Working???

hi guys,

as the title says my Bii Mugen box just stopped working today.

i was priming the line today and the box was turning the flywheel no worries.

when i stopped and grabbed my ignitor to fire the engine there was no response at all from the box.

i have 2 x Brand new 3800mah Nimh batts in it which i charged and used last night so i know they work.

one of the motors was very hot when i opened the lid to see WTH was going on so i'm wondering if i have burnt out a motor would that stop the other from working as well as it is just DEAD!

this has me stumped any ideas???

Mike

If one of the motor is hot and the other one is cold/cooler than most likely the hot motor is done for. If one of the motor is not working the starter box won't work at all. Most starter box is wired in series so if something is wrong than the box won't work.

i'm going to see what motors i can upgrade to. i know the OFNA truggy box has 2x 750's in it which will start anything you throw at it so i'll see what i can find above 550.

There was a mod in a magazine that modded the same started box. and they used 2 novak crawler motors in it(55 Turn) and used 1 lipo. I haven't tried it yet.
This may be something of interest. as the motors are rebuildable.
