Default Tex's shocks for MBX-6?

I'm posting this because there are a lot of rumors and speculation as to what is happening with this research. I also don't feel like highjacking the Virus thread and can safely assure you that our shock is nothing like what they are producing. That looks like good stuff. Time will tell.

For those of you that don't know me... I'm out of the Dallas area and race regularly at Indy RC World. Our shocks have been tested extensivly here and at other locations for a few months. Be forewarned they are PAT PEND.

The issues we answer with our shocks are:
The reduction of the bottoming out moment or threshold of the shock - adjustable regardless of spring or dampening.
Independantly controlled compression dampening.
Independantly controlled rebound dampening.
Adjustable air pack.

What this means??? You can run much softer suspension setup that will allow you to adhere to the ground better thereby gaining traction. You can still carry the big jumps without loosing control or having to wait to apply power.
Why be a slave to the jumps?

There will be more information coming shortly. Be patient.
For those of you that posted on the other thread. Thanks and enjoy!
Have fun!

<------Not done yet!

Tex, I would be interested in testing some of these on the MBX-6. I could get you a pair of front and rear shocks if you want them The shocks ovbiously work. On Doug's car it was a night and day difference. The current track configuration at Indy RC requires standard shock setups to be heavy. This takes away the cars athletic ability in some sections IMHO. Let me know, Tex.

you just want them because you're scared. you were betting me by 2 or more laps, now just by seconds. just by putting shocks on....

Thumbs up

Ron,
We could get some worked up for your 6. I need to get more involved with that car. It looks very nice. It does make a difference not having to spring for the jumps and landings. Talk to me tomorrow at the track and I'll take a look to see if something can be worked out.
I have pre-production components arriving in the next two weeks. This will allow me to post some pics and everyone can see what has been going on.
Good run.

I would love to try some on my SC8, I have big bores and they help but it needs more compression and less rebound.

Tex, I am working on the west side of Ft. Worthall day today and cannot make it . What I could do is bring the whole car, starter box, radio, and let you play with it for a week or so. Your call. 817-614-2476 (mobile).

Wouldn't call it scared. You know what makes humans unique to the rest of the species on earth? The ability to "reason".

Not to mention that track is tough on my poor Moooo-gun. Oh, and if they put a 100 foot jump you know I will try to make it The gas tank actually broke in warmup on that triple even though I was back siding it!
