I have one coming as a backup engine for my Ninja .21 from the good people @ modhobby
I am a huge fan of the GRP engines

Cool thread. I ran the tuned version, but just picked up the Non-tuned. Have about 12+ tanks through it now, and still running rich. Even rich it has pretty good power, and getting a little over 7+ minutes a tank. I will be tuning it tomorrow. I don't see a problem getting 8+ minutes out of it.

During break-in temps were 200-205. Temps are dropping now. What kind of temps are those seeing that have 1+ gallon through them?

Hmmmmm... i know my Tuned one ran those temps, but the cooling head on the tuned seems so more efficient by design, than the non-tuned. I would expect a little higher temps, but I may be wrong...

I think he read the "How to tune a GRP engine" by adam drake and read those are the temps, not knowing they have different cooling heads. I didnt even notice there was a difference in the heads besdies color.

I have a Modded 1 and it comes off the track between 210-225. depending on ambient temp. Has plenty of smoke and pulls like bull with topend to spare. Tune by performance and smoke. Engine screams.

Last time on track outside temps were around 75deg in Hayes Va. Engine seems to run hotter compared to the tuned version. Hard to say for sure since heads are diferent. Same day, same fuel Tuned was runnin 180-190.
