Default GRP . 21 off-road buggy motor?

Hi,

I am in the market for a new motor and was wondering how this one is. I was looking at before a n21bf limited and a rb s5 l2g but got an offer to trade my slsh for this one brand new with batteries. This would be going into a buggy that is being used as a first racer so I want something reliable and easy to tune that can keep up. How is this? heres the link

So will there be a big difference between the tuned and non-tuned. Also does anyine know about the power band and the top and bottom of this engine. For reference this will be going into the losi 8ight b race roller.

If you are looking for a good motor at a decent price or in your case a trade, this is it. I am a novarossi guy myself but for the money the non tuned grp cant be beat. I know a few racers in my region that have the motor in both truck and buggy and they have no complaints. I was told the only real difference between the tuned and non tuned is a little more run time and better top end. Pull trigger.

ok great so do you guys think this is a good trade?? Also does anyone have some first hand experience with the engine?? I would like to know if it is a smoot powerband, good torque and top, and also what type of run times are people getting? Also I have a dynamite 086 pippe, would this be good for it?

I have the non tuned as a backup and club race motor for my tuned. You will like this motor alot tunes well and is pretty powerfull. It lacks a little top compared to the tuned but not much at all. I personally think it has a better bottom than the tuned. Get a dynamite 053 and you'll be set. Runtime is only a minute or so less than the tuned. You shoulsd see atleast 8:30 a tank in race tune.

Would the 086 do well in it? Also can I have some opinions on it compared to other motors. The guy said he is willling to do it so I am just going to get some opinions before I pull the trigger. Also what plugs for it?

I can tell you this much. Comparing to the other 2 motors you are looking at the grp will have more low end grunt than the rb s5 and the nova bf simply because they are both a short stroke motor. I have a personal friend of mine who has the grp in his truck and he says it is very smooth power, he also says Odo99's are a great plug. I trust what he says because he also mods my motors.

If you want to run the 086 get a long header for it. As far as plugs i run the grp 4 on mine.

Is there a standard head button available for the GRP engines?
