Get the ace ds1015. Its the best servo I have ever bought. They are very strong and fast.

2x 1015 here, too - zero complaints.
I get almost an hour running time with my 1500mAh NiMH packs.
Sometime early last year Ace/TT changed the top of the case to a reinforced version to keep the gears in place more accurately. This was done to cure the servo's "chattering" some people experienced when their steering servo was under no load. You can get it separately, if your old one might become sloppy.

I used 1313's for both duties on my 8ight last season. I loved my Ace servos until I used Futaba BLS451's. Night and Day, man. Night and day.

I have no problems with the Dynamite horns meant for futaba servo's, I have been running them for about a year and a half. The new upper cases are a must, I was developing chatter after about 4-5 races with my ST-RR before the cases were updated, now that I have the new ones, all is good

I haven't gotten to race with my 1313 yet but I'm impressed with it on the bench so far, this winter thing needs to end soon! I'm going to try using the stock servo horn it came with, will it hold up?

I have blown up far too many gear set's and had electronics fail for no reason to EVER trust Ace/AE servo's in my race gear again.....they cost me Multiple race's and i could care less to go through that again.

they are great servo's while they last.

I like any servo on the market, make sure your end points are set properly. I have one from when they first came out that was in an 1/8 scale buggy and it's still going strong in my competition crawler.

Without hesitation I would reccomend the Ace/AE servo's to anyone that knows how to properly set up EPA's.

Big RE, where do you get the updated upper cases? Sounds like I might have to upgrade mine, I've had my 1015 for a while but so far no problems.

+1 I've had more issues with the 1313's than the 1015's. Got one back to AE now cuz it just decided to go full CCW and not respond. Atleast I could steer it into a softer wall.
