Smile 4 Buggys ___ 1 Decision

So basically the title explains what the situation is, there is 4 Buggys and I have to make one decision. After a couple years of R/C pause(used to race nitro On Road) I want to start having fun again

So, I live in Switzerland now, and there is lots of forest and cool bashing places, so thats mainly what I will be doing, although I would like to race and kick some like in the old times!!

So ill get to the point:Which buggy is tough, reliable and fun?
I thought Id ask you guys since i havent been around R/C cars in a long time, specially Off-Road.

Thanx Yall

Find the Losi 8eight 1.0...I'm sure someone has some left...they are reduced almost 50% off original price...you can find one for $300...by far exceeds everything on your list

+100 on Jaz's statement, but if not check with the local hobby shop in your area which one will have the most spare parts for the ones on your list. If he has more of one type of the listed buggies that is what I would go with, bashing you will need some spare parts. Just my 2 cents

Gotta agree with these guys. Get the losi 1.0 either roller or RTR. Either one would be much better than the others you posted.

I agree with everyone else, get the 8ight 1.0 rtr or roller

but if your dead set on something on your list get the CEN

it's probably the best "race" buggy on the list

the others are more bashers

you know...go to www.carolinasrc.com and search for the losi rtr buggy, they have it for under $400. That is a great kit and has a great radio.

If your mainly going to bash get the Picco buggy. Super big bores good little engine, larger chassis= easier to work on and cheap. You will need to get better electronics later on any of them so thats moot. And it is new to the market so you dont have to worry about parts being discontinued. It I belive has the 9.5 chassis and if so that is the only buggy I ever heard of that you can get a 2 spped tranny for. BUT I wouldnt buy any of the buggies on that list and try to race it "competatively" you will have fun with it though. Just the shocks and the motor would cost you $225 at a hobby shop easily.

If you are going to buy a car to eventually race, or start racing, get one that you will have support for while you are at the track. Nothing sucks more than breaking on race day and not having parts support from LHS, and tech support from all the local hotshoes will only make you better as you are running same chassis as them, they will usually be cool and share setup/driving tips, therefore you will become more familiar with your car and how it reacts to setup changes......im still learning all of this myself, and theres a LOT to learn...good luck with you new car man......have a ball! cheers! I only have one comment on that list:

NOT the Ravager. It's crap.

The matrix is a very good buggy for racing and bashing, ive had mine for about 8 months ive ran about 3 or 4 gallons threw it and have never broken a part ive only blow a bearing or two in my clutch and ive just replaced the wear parts like clutch shoes. I screwed up my mesh once and ruined my spur gear and clutch bell but that was ALL MY FAULT the Matrix is a very good buggy

Two gallons without a broken part is easy with any modern 1/8th scale if you dont try driving like lutz
