Default Max Power 3.5cc Off-Road Engine

I used to race on-road nitro cars but I wanna give eighth scale buggy a go. I was going to get myself a Tuned O.S. Speed 21 VZ-B V-Spec II but I've heard rumors about it's short life span. My second preference would be the Max Power. It's the engine I would pick if I were to race on-road again but I am not sure about it's buggy engine.
Has anyone tried the new MX21 MAX M8 and the Turbo Version. What sort of performance gain would I get from the turbo plug on an off-road. Also, how do they compare to the older MX 21 MAX M5B.

i have run a modified novarossi 821b before, which is similar to the max power, the eight port engine was way to strong for a buggy, it was cool in a truggy though, 3 and 5 ports are more buggy friendly
