Default Best Sub-200$ Buggy Engine?

Hello. I recently purchased a D8 and am now looking for an engine. I was wondering what peoples opinions were on the best sub 200$ one. I am currently looking at the RB Concept S3 which runs around 180$. Are there any other motors that would be good? Also I am not going to be doing much racing so I am more concerned with top end. Thanks.

Also look at the GO 3 port Race, either the RB or the GO would be plenty.

I have the Go 7Port great engine for the price. Break in is a real pain- some serious pinch! Runs awsome great power, not mine has had about 4-5 gallons.. it's becoming a pain to keep the Tune... but I havnt replaced anything yet on it.. So getting a V-Spec.. and keeping the GO for a backup.. but yea, its a great engine.. Like Marmite-Some people love them-Some people hate them.. its true though..

Go to www.massivemods.com they're in Au and with the curret currenct exchange rate you can get a modded 5 or 7 port GoTech for 210 shipped to the states!

Can't beat that. Check out the Go engine thread

Here are the best 4 engines IMO, for $150 or less. (This is my opinion) Listed in order

Novarossi N21B
Hyper .21 8 port
Go-Tech 3 Port
SH Mach. 427 (The Losi RTR engine)

The 3 port GO is an awsome mill. But if your worries are top end the 7 port is what you want, not to say that the 3 port is a slouch. I am running the 5 port now and my next mill will be the 3 port.

If you want screaming top end. (High speed). Go with the Hyper .21 8 port..Its $120 at Nitrohouse..I have been using them for practice/bashing for years..They get about 10 gallons through them are fast as hell, easy to tune, and very reliable..use the 086 pipe with it

+1 Limited edition mated to a $50 dynamite 086 pipe. $200 combo that WILL perform.

Actually I meant to say Dynamite 086. The 053 would be fine but the 086 will give better top end.

The 9901 is a nice pipe but it is also a pricey pipe.

Yeh but the 9901's worth more than the engine

if you really want top end at a buget then a modded 7port Go from Massive mods is the ticket for around $210 landed in the states at the moment that is 1 hell of a deal. an OS speed doesn't even come close to the top end of his modded 7ports and his MMG66 engines are absolutely awesome around $320us landed

heres the stage 5 7port

http://www.massivemods.com.au/produc...products_id=69

and no I'm not sponsered by massive mods

Thanks for the replies! So right now its between the S3, Rossi limited, and the hyper 8 port. Out of these which would be the best as far as tuning and reliability/durability? Thanks.

I would say for overall engine quality, you can never beat a Novarossi....but for longevity, top end, and price, ease of tune..you should do some more research on the Hyper .21 8 port. dont just buy it becuase I recomended it. Get some more feed back.....If you are new, not sure how to tune, just going to bash, and just want to go fast..get the Hyper..if you are more serious about your engines..might want to race some day, and want a bling bling Mill that people will envy..go for the Novarossi
