I have had a few nitros in the past, but I am trying to get more into the technical side of the hobby, so I might go for the nova. Is it an engine that I can learn on? I also have a hobby shop close by for tuning help. Thanks.

Go Tech 7 port turbo with a Dynamite Platinum 053 pipe. If you shop around, you can buy both the Go Tech 7 port engine and Dynamite pipe for just over $200.00 I bought my Go Tech mill for about $170.00 and my Dynamite 053 pipe for $39.99. This is a great combo for the money.

The 9901 is a nice pipe but it is also a pricey pipe.
I'm picking up the Novarossi mill soon as well. Which plugs do guys have the best luck with?

+1. they are basically the same engine(nova and RB). and being that RB's are made by nova they are the exact same quality. Only advantage to the S3 is the nicer cooling head(L2g version). The Nova is the one I would get. the S3 is not worth the extra $30 just for a cooling head.

the Novarossi N21B I have was really easy to tune and keeps a tune. I also run a Mugen Ninja that i love as well to very diff mills. I had a few people give me a hard time about the Novarossi N21B because it was a little 3 port but when was winning with it they were the first to jump on the band wag. Ill put it this way i would run that Novarossi N21B in a big race anyday thats why i have one as a back up motor to the ninja

Well I think I am going to go with the N21B. Does anyone know the cheapest place to pick one up? Also is there any special way that I should break it in? Thanks.

So the S3 and N21B are the EXACT same engines with different cooling heads? For some reason, RBs just "looks" alot better to me. Something with their orange cooling heads compared to Nova's black/purple heads.

After looking around I am now considering the Go .21 7 port massive mod. It seems like that 210$ might be worth it. I am wondering, how much faster is it going to be compared to say the N21B? Also is it going to be as easy to tune? Thanks.

As a general rule modded motors are a little more finicky to tune. I have no experience with Massivemods though. We had a couple N21b's a couple years ago and they were great, modded even better. After running Go's for the last year I like the Go's better but I won't slam the Nova or Rb either. The Go 3 port sport is very similar to the n21b or s3 but sells for $115.00.

go and nova motor can be hard to tune check out a hobby people if there is one close to you they still have the sh .21 2008 pt off road motor on sale for 100 $ they are easy to tune 8 port fast and the sh 2060 tuned pipe is cheap so if you want cheap and fast it is the way to go for 160 you can get the ceramic piston version if they are on sale the motors will last if tuned right up to 8 gallons great for the price i think it has more pull then the nova 21 bf

Novarossi's are some of the easiest tuning motors around. I learned most of my tuning on a nova and had no problems.
