Default Trinity Drake Platinum

I have one of these motors and I was wondering if a V-Spec carb would work on this motor because I have had nothing but problems with tuning this motor. any help would be great. thanks

The OS will work. I have had 2 of these motors and they ran great with the stock carb. Are you sure it is the carb?? Maybe trash in the carb O-ring is bad? Fuel leak? If swapping the carb doesn't work try some of these. That motor runs strong.

I ran the MC 59 also. I assume you have a good plug, so it could be several things, fuel tank, clutch, tank pressure, trash in the needle.......

Hard to say, you can pm Brian at Pro Twister Mods and he can help you out.

Default picco carb will work

Try a picco carb NITRO HOUSE. com has them I think the DRAKE is picco based. An OS could fit .

OS carb will NOT fit a Trinity drake which is Identical to the JPX/picco/LRP lineup.

try sealing the carb and tuning should be smooth sailing.

Since we're on the subject of carb sealing...a shameless plug is coming :P
Lucky 7 AirSeal. I recently tried it out for the first time. In the past, I've used the old Racer's Edge product which is very good in it's own right. But it was always a pain because it tends to be a bit watery. The L7 is much thicker, yet still fluid and moves slowly. It also sets up a lot quicker. 2 Thumbs up from me :P

Racer's Edge is Not liquidy imo..Lucky 7 is....and fwiw DO NOT let your lucky 7 freeze...it will ruin the contents...i lost 2 bottle's to the cold.

Check the sig,

I am running that exact engine. The carb is great then engine idles well and runs like a raped ape. The engine is actually an EVO2 the p/s is an exact match. The carb does the job flawlessly. The Picco EVO2 cabr would fit no probs. However I would look elsewhere for your problem. Take the entire engine apart and service it. CLEAN everything reassemble and seal as you go.

Liked the engine so much I bought 2 EVO2's. The only difference in the Drake and the EVO2 is slight cuts on the ports and they are very slight. Oh not to mention the TKO bearings. The EVO2 is as fast with out the cuts if not faster.

I'm not familiar with the factory settings never pay much attention to that. Those settings only last you long enough to get the 1st couple of tanks through it anyway. It's way to easy to find a descent starting place on these engines to worry about the factory settings anyways. You have other problems with that engine.

Biggest problem I've had with the Drake or the EVO2's was getting the temps up. They actually run really cool and dissipate heat quite well. I run mine around 220 they will run like that all day. The engines actually need to be up to temp before you start touching needles.

p.s. I actually like Lucky7 as well. Quick drying and holds a good seal. easy to dispense was not watery but not a gel either.

Curious, if the Drake and Evo's are basically the same, then the Jammin would also likely be the same? This being said, the bearings would be the same? I'm currently running the JPX, was thinking about some TKOs, but can't find proper sizes. Although, I'd bet Peter probably knows, I have yet to contact him. Thx
