I'd skip the lightweight chassis on the D8. Use the one it has. Its not that much heavier. The d8 isn't the heaviest car out there, its just not the lightest. I would put longer rod ends on the rear shocks and thats about it.

I wish all cars had 4mm chassis instead of 3mm. This tuned flex stuff has gone far enough. I can see having flexy arms, but chassis flex isn't the greatest tuneing tool. The chassis on my RC8 flexed as easilly as the suspension. Hardly any force at all could move the rear shock tower 1/4".


The D8 plastic is on par with Losi,Associated. Not as good as Xray,Mugen ,Kyosho. I don't like replaceing arms every 3 races.

Still voting for Losi, but i'd recommend Xray ,Mugen.

After testing last night at boulder city, it felt great. I was still 2 seconds a lap behind Saxton. But a couple small changes, and now the car rotates alot better.

Thank you everybody for all of information!

So, Finally, i choice the HB D8 .... buuut... before the first race, my car goes totaly updated with new lightweight part. (339$ the car + 250$ of update part!! OUCH! lol)

Now, i need to choice a great engine to install in the car!!

I really thinking about the Nova 4+ or 5...

Your doing all the light weights option parts!!!!!! Thats going to be one sweet ride. Dont forget the steering servo arm. Caster makes a nice al one.

Thank you, it's a very good deal but i read your message too late, i ordered and yesterday night and shipped today by amain



@Zero : yeah but 250$ for light part is expensive hehe...

What is the upgrade for steering servo arm and caster upgrade?
