First get rid of that odonell plug. Use the props picco plugs. If not available in your area use RB6's they will work fine. However picco plugs ate different fm other plugs.

I suggest sealing the carb up and going to a turbo head button and ONLY use genuine picco/ofna plugs....they are imo the best for the $ NO QUESTIONS asked....what is the tune issue btw ?

The early EVO 2 and EVO 3 had the carb you can change the carb insert. The late ones you cannot change. It would be nice if Ofna and Nitrohouse would update the website

keep on flaming out and its running really rich but I think its a combination of crap fuel brand and wrong plug and not enough time before a race to give it a good tune up I tried the mccoy #8 and it runs better and has a far better idle. can someone give me a run down to why I would want to use the carb restrictors??? also i am running 25% nitro whats a good oil content with that??
cheers

you need to be more concerned about why the motor's doing what its doing besides what restrictor's do.......the picco carbs can leak in multiple place's and cause a nightmare of a time tuning them......the main body where the composite meets the alum needs to be sealed....if the base of the carb is not pressed in enough the base can leak and cause issues....the needle's can also leak through the threads causing issues....how old is this motor ?

Default re

Ihave had 3 evo 2r piccos have found that odonnel plugs work well but if you ar eusing a higher oil content fuel could be a prob my piccos run well on trinity platinum and blue thunder hp8 lasted around 8 gallons then the bearings went out p/s still wont push thru the top always ran around 220 230 degrees with a 2013 pipe smooth round header piccos do not like to be fat on the low end found out the hard way many flameouts the best way ihave found to tune the picco is run almost a tank of fuel then refill ge top end somewhat close then tune the low so it drops to a regular idle without staying high at all
