Default Nice review

Nice review Sylvain, did you get a chance to actually drive the Truck mate, I'm curious to see how they handle in comparison to buggy and truggy?

Like others had mentioned, if the economic climate wasn't so bad at the moment, it (the class) would take off in a massive way because you get the quality and ability of a race class vehicle with the realism the non-race class vehicles. Buggy and Truggy while only very loosely based on real vehicles lacks that realism, if there where a few more offroad race RC vehicles based heavily on real vehicles, I think it would help attract more people to offroad RC racing and grow the sport.

Well done mate on a great review.

Cheers

Mauve

i hope in the next year or two these types of trucks get more and more popular. if the price for the sc8 wasnt so expensive, i think it would sell like hotcakes. I would pay $500 tops for the truck. i hope other companies join in and start to make trucks.

I didn't track test the truck. As mentionned above, my race track is covered by 2ft of snow

Unfortunately thoses reviews cost me money, manufacturers don't send stuff for free. I have to make a selection when it is to review products. I don't have the budget of major magazines

Concerning the price tag, it may sound a little bit high but 500$ is too low compared to the price of a RC8T RS which is similar. Check major online hobby shops. the SC8 is 660$ and you can get 100$ rebate coupon.

i just hope these kind of trucks get popular. i think other companies need to come out with trucks before the truck scene even starts to grow

I'm sure others manufacturers will come with a similar truck.
