No, but RB is the name, the S5 is going to be smoother yes=shorter stroke, the n21 has alot of bottom but is very drivable indeed, yes the GO 5 IMO is stronger and faster overall than both, but can be harder to drive with that in mind, the Limited n21 is a shorter stroke than the BF standard, so look at that as well, if you like the RB S5, i have a PTM S5 L2G NIB, but it's over the price range. I really thing you will like the NR, unless your track has 200 foot strait's then your in trouble.

[quote=rgrassey@me.com;5379577]ok so basically I think I may go with the nova but will defanately keep an eye for an rb5 or the 5 port. Also for pipe selection, does it really make a big differencce, As a beginner will I really notice th difference a pipe makes?[/quote

GO 5 port, Dyn 086
RB S5 Dyn 053 RB

Yes you will see how one pipe makes power at low rpm vs. high rpm, some pipes feel smooth, and some insane, just like the motor itself.

I just put the Nova Limited in my buggy and only have 9 tanks on the motor so far but it is the bomb for the price. I love it.

No better motor for the money than the Novarossi bf, period. It will out perform and outlast any motor that Go makes. The Dynomate is good, but not as good as the Nova. RB's are good also, but the Nova is a better value.
I would not run the OS VG if it was free. I am surprised OS still makes it.
Get yourself a Nova bf, a NR 9853 or 9901 pipe with a short manifold for your truggy and never look back.

im glad too see im not the only one who absolutely loves this nova mill...i swear im gonna buy a bunch and get a couple modded and call it a day...i have about 2 gallons on mine in my d8 and i swear it pulls harder then some high dollar motors i wont name...lol...it lacks a lil top end but im sure it can be tinkered with...i was going to go with a gotech 7port and switched to this at the last min on my d8 and i couldnt be happier...im sure the go has more power but im also sure the n21 will outlast it and given the chance if modded will stay right next to it

I agree with Brian. Get the nova limited edition. They are calling them limited edition, but are comming out with an identical engine called something else because of how much success they have had with the limited. Great little engine.

And yes that would be the pipe I would get. this engine loves the 086 and for the price and quality the dynamite is obviously the best in my book.

So the jamminkrazy would you reccomend the nova for my 8 buggy instead of the s5? On other thread, you seemed to swear by rb engines.

I recommend the Go Tech 7 port turbo with a Dynamite Paltinum 053 pipe for buggy and a Go Tech 5 port turbo with a Dynamite Platinum 086 pipe for truggy. If you shop around, you can purchase the engine and pipe for around $220.00

the 086 is great, but look at the Ofna 086 as well, sounds racey, i think runtimes are better as well with the ofna, but yes a 086 style pipe, what ever brand, if you go to a 053 style, control and smooth is gone.

Move to sunny Southern, California. It has been in the 80s the past couple of weeks and you can race pretty much year round here.
