Default advantages of an 8ight

I have a hyper 7 buggy and I'm considering buying a used 8ight race roller. How much more performance would I get with the 8ight? I love my hyper 7 to death. It has been really good to me, but if I start getting into club racing would the 8ight really be worth the extra money? Or would the hyper 7 do?

it depends on driving style, the hyper you can drive hard and throw it around, the losi dont like to be thrown around the track. the losi will jump, steer, handle much better then the hyper but its all about driving style as well.

once you start hitting the track you most likely will give up on bashing, it just isnt as fun to bash after u have tried racing

Bought extra 8's B's & T's just for bashing. I will never give up bashing can only race on Sat & Sun unless I'm just out practicing.

I actually miss bashing sometimes. There's no stress and it's all fun till you get bored.

Agreed, I used to bash. But since going to my local track, It dosnt compare.. even practice at the track is 100* better than bashing!

I was the same as you last year i raced a Hyper 7 and loved it but i keep hearing guys telling me if i got a better buggy i would be faster so 1/2 way in the year i got a Losi 8 i ahd a hard time at first with it as the other guy said the Losi 8 dont like to be forced around the track but after some time i have got a lot faster then i was with my Hyper 7.And now i would not take any thing for my Losi 8 i love it the car is FAST around the track and a lot smoother then the Hyper i think.

what you have to remember is the H7 has undergone several revisions since, the 7TQ euros upgrade kit, H8, H8.5 and now the H9 the losi arrived around the 8/8.5 so is still an up to date car, also the losi is much lighter and just handles better when set up right, the H7 you currently have will probably work better even if the set up is off slightly which makes it easier, the 8 will make you a better driver but it may take a little time to adapt to it on the other hand some have made the transition immediately with no probs, if you can get a go at your local track go that route first but i suspect you wont be dissapointed as the losi is a good car.
