Default What the hell , Crappy rim selection for GT2 !

Back when i was in the hobby yrs ago , all the cool rims were for Team AE , now they are all Traxxas ? Am i missing something , does anyone know of a good looking wheel for the GT2 ?

Are you referring to the dish wheels looking bad?

An explanation of the limited choices is because dish rims are light weight and pretty durable (bred for racing, we don't always see rpm revolvers on a track!). Also, they are cheaper, which racers like because of the amount of tires they go through.

There are many wheels made for the traxxas vehicles because many people have them, thus more profit for the wheel company.

RPM makes many styles of wheels that will fit the GT2. I tried the talonz and the Starz. They look nice but are not any good for racing and are even more fragile for bashing. I guess they would work good on a shelf queen. I am guessing that is why most of the wheels you find are for racing. I use the quick change wheels. I don't care what they look like as long as the hold up.
