If it's your first, feel free to spend your money. But I think you should look around some more.

Dont be such a douche. Granted the pro versions are better, but I dont think RTRs are junk. If you want to bash the Mutilator would be fine. If you're even thinking about racing though, take a look in the for sale section. I've seen some pretty sweet mugen truggys there for a little over $200 bucks...thats a steal!

The mutilator is 9.5 based. That means it is very old geometry with a way outdated chassis and components. They are made from leftover parts at the factory minus the 16mm bb's and the new HD wing, It will be hard to find setup/parts support as well, everywhere as no one really runs this that I know of.........I agree with Integra......I would'nt touch it with a 10ft. pole either. I owned the 9.5 buggy yrs ago........so I done been down that road............take the time to find a used pro kit truggy, you will be a lot happier in the end......good luck in your purchase.

I would recomend the 8t 1.0. It's an excellent value and most parts are interchangable with the new version.

As mentioned above, the Mutilator is based on an old design so parts would be hard to find and hobby shops probably won't have the parts for it.

you can still get the parts @ nitrohouse..but still, I think if you need to buy a tool to get a job done, dont slouch and buy junk......It just makes the project that much more un-enjoyable and un-stable.................I say go for rc8t RTR..........good luck in your purchase!! cheers!! TW

thanks for the input !! Got what i needed to hear.
i've got my eye on the new 8t.

i was looking at buying the mutilator just for bashing and an extra one for when buddies came over . more less one i didn't care if some one used.

but after reading the comments . i'm all good on it. dont need something thats hard to get parts for or is out dated..

Thanks H
