This is a great engine, Derek runs it and I have had several of them. I like the
Losi RE-10 pipe or Dynamite 053 pipes. The RE-10 gives a little more power and better run times. Here are some results from last weekend Derek did TQ over Adam Drake. A different carb can make the motor run a little better and even squeeze out over 10min run times.

I just finished breaking in one of these engines in my Losi L8ight model oval car. What is the perfect operating temperature? This is my first nitro engine in over ten years and I am trying to re-learn everything. So far, I have been running around 195 degrees but I am sure I am way rich. I am running the Dynamite 053 pipe. Thanks in advance!!

I have over 8 gallons thru this baby. All on the oval....screaming away except for 40 minutes of runtime in my truggy at an outdoor off-road race. I replaced the rod around 5 gallons I think cause the idle was getting erratic. Then around the 7 gallon mark I replaced the front bearing.

I found best all around performance from top to bottom with the 007 pipe. The 053 works well but reduces too much bottom end in my opinion. This is a 9 port engine so we know it will scream. That's why I perfer the bottom end pipe. For $180US it is worth a try.

To finish break-in it took over a gallon of fuel. AND it was a must to pre heat the thing till well after that one gallon mark. I actually thought something was not right with the engine because it kept getting stuck at TDC, LOL. I'm liking this engine. There are many, many people using it for dirt oval because the price/performance is very good.

I've heard the carb off a dynamite platinum motor will fit the losi 350, but horizon said they wouldn't. could someone get me an od measurement of the neck of the carb so i can compare it to the losi 350 opening. would love to run a composite carb on the motor. thanks in advance
