Default What can I do?

Ok so i bought an engine off rcuniverse.com. The seller had good feed back. Well come to find out he got me for 150 and 4 other people for more than that each. I dont know what to do. He had contact with us up in till he got our checks. Oh wait he did send us all the same tracking number that never updated. Im going to file a police report with the Jacksonville police as soon as they call me back.

I never send checks. I always pay threw paypal to avoid problems like this. I know better too. F*%$. Any ideals? This a$$hloe got more than $1000 dollars from us in a couple days.

How long ago? You can put a stop on the check unless it's already cashed.

I'm not sure what to do after he has cashed the check.

I'd file a report here: http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx along with calling his local police.
If nothing else at least there will be a complaint on file.

I bought a T-Maxx from a guy in the Traxxas Sale forum in December. I found out week later (with the help of other Traxxas forumites) that he sold the same item to 3 other people across other forums, this forum included.

I wish I had something more to contribute than relating to your loss.

You SENT him a check thru the mail? Contact the Post Office - that is mail fraud and they WILL go after him.

He may only get a slap on the wrist for stealing, but mail fraud could land him several years in jail.

Here is a link for you.

Click!

That'll get you started. He SHOULD have tried to steal with PayPal. You never mess with the US mail. hehe.

I suggest you get all the buyers (if you can) to take the same steps in reporting him.

Good luck!
