I would recommend the v-spec motors, they run great, as I loved the little RG motor, and made it better after having it pinched and temps around 300 to make run time A personal note on the dynamite pipes as I have 2 of them, both being the 086, one is shiny and the other is gray metal color, the shiny one gives up on performance reason being it runs 20 degrees or so cooler than the other, these test cars are the exactly the same, so I believe it is the pipe

Mugen ninja has way more to offer then the vspec but both are good motors

I had many engines of most of leading brands.
By now the most reilable engine i have had is the blue head v-spec, also very easy to tune. It does have one downside, it does not have live span like the italians. Another good engine is the Radical, i have few friends who has them and they very reliable, and have long life.

I would say no hotter then 280. I have had many a V-Spec, and they run great at 230. But they scream at 250.
Even if it's that hot, how does the exhaust look? Is there a good trail of smoke? Some motors run hotter. You can't take a Ninja and an O.S. and expect them to run the same temp. You also can't take two of the same motor and expect them to be the same temp with the same performance.

thats very true booker and yes I had A ws7-ll that would only run at high temp but 300 is a little hot. On the other hand it just depends on the life you want to get out of the motor.I know guys that run motors one or two big races that lean their motors to the max but they have a very short life.

Nowadays I would think that 300 is too hot, but when given a RG that after getting pinched you could not turn over, even when it was hot outside, I found to get 5 minutes out of it, that was the only way to go, these motors are very durable and aslong as you let them cool down below 300 degrees it would not kill the glow plug, I ran this motor for more than 5 hard gallons, until the bearing cage around the bearings came loose and scored the piston, but even then you could not turn it over, with or without a glow plug, unless it was warm

I understand what your saying. I wouldn't run my motor at 300 consistantly, but 250 or 260. I'd run that all day long. I won't even start my motors with out first preheating to 280 with a heat gun. I'm a big fan of the TNT Mods breakin.
If I bring my motor in and it's running 300. i'm looking to fatten it up a bit. But also you have to ask, is the engine running the temp all the time or does it bounce around?

OS V-Spec or JX BO1A Ninja.
If it flames out your probably out of fuel. If it wont start replace the plug.
