Default How do you charge everything?

when i go to the track how do i keep e everything charging? im sick of taking a power strip and having like 2 chargers for my starterbox and stuff and then a charger for my reciver packs and another for my glow ignitor.. is there a better way to do this with less room taken up?..

like a multi charger or something?

i use a hyperion 0606i charger. it charges everything and i have a adaptor made that has all the plugs i use on it.

but you have to charge one at a time.

what i do is charge everything the night befor and so when im there i dont really have to charge anything. maybe if i drive enought i would have to charge my rx battery but now i have like 3 extras that are charged and 2 extra ignitors that i keep charge.

i use a accu-cycle elite, and it will charge two things a once. as for the starter box and igniter, i charge them every four or five race weekends.

I've used this charger before, if you're still using nihm packs then it's perfect, no lipo capability.

I charge everything before I go racing, the tracks in the UK dont have on site power !
How come you are charging you starter box ? I can usually get a few race meetings out of a single charge (12v lead acid in an OFNA/SMD/Fastrax starter box).
The only thing I'm charging on a race weekend is the reciever battery, but thats only a top up before the finals.

whats up shooky?!

as said above charge everything the night before for a less stressful day at the track.

I use a duratrax ice charger which charges everything I have, my radio, reciever, and starter box are all lipo powerd so I can usually go like 3-4 weeks before charging my radio, 2 weeks on my starter box prb go 3 but dont wanna hurt my 100.00 lipo lol and all day on my reciever pack. then I have a super hot shot 2 ignitor and I can go like 2 mths easy on a charge

Same here, I charge everything the night before. Then just top off RX packs during the race day as needed. I have 3 igniters, and several starter boxes. If you are using stick packs in your starter box that is where I would upgrade to gel cell or lipo. TX should not be an issue. I still pack everything on race day but have minimal clutter on my pit table.

+7 on the night before! i run my 2 quals, and then I recharge my RX pack for the race, or I swap it for a fresh one. and I bring 2 starter box batts, and 2 glow starters just in case

Look at the Venom Pro charger. it is $130 with a power supply and it comes with every adapter you can think of and MUCH more!

Yea they are a great charger and come with a lipo balancer I think, but for the guy who started this thread he seems to want a single charger to charge everything at once.....yea right, wishful thinking. You gotta prepare the night before, everyone does and if you don't you are usually the guy at the track running around, stressing out and getting upset because your race is in 5 minuntes and you ARE NOT READY!!!

Picking up charger is actually quite very easy.

- If 50W of charging power * is enough you can get one with integrated power supply

- If you need more power (like charging big lipo packs) you need to get charger without internal power supply.

- If you need to charge lipo you need balancer so ideally get charger with internal balancer.

- if you use lipo with different balance lead you should get charger with replaceable balancing boards

Most nitro only guys can live with 50W charger with integrated balancer and power supply (like hyperion EOS606)

*charging power : 7.2V volt pack charging @ 5Amps = ~36W of power needed. in reallity more about 42W so if you need to charge 4S 8000mah lipo pack @8Amps (thats what i got in one of my starter boxes) u need 14.4*8 = ~115W of charging power. less powerfull charger will take longer times to charger high voltage/capacity batteries.

I use superbrain 989, Hyperion EOS1210 with LBA10 balancer and icharger6 since I got so many batteries to take care of
