the jr 9100 is over kill for a buggy. use the 8800t, thats jr,s recomendation and it also carries the 3yr waranty. its $100 but its cheaper than replacing junk servos 3x

I agree when I first used my ace 1015 I thought they were great servos but I have had to replace 2 sets of gears in the last month. I am looking at the hitec until the jr hv come out

My favorites for, buggy or truggy or even crt.5 is the airtronics 94359 and throttle would be 94358, they just don't give up

How good is the Hitec warranty? I know with JR you can basically get a brand new servo if anything goes wrong usually with no questions asked. I'm trying to decide between a high quality JR 9100 or 8711, or a Hitec 79xx.

Why do people favor the 9100's over the 8711? The 8711's seem like a no brainer.

Hitec and JR have very similar warranties. I believe both of them offer 3 year warranties. I have however, sent Hitec a 5955TG servo that fried on me which I had for over 3 years and they replaced it with a brand new 7955TG. That is great service.

Integra have you ever had to deal with the warranty department at Hitech. Yeah they give a lifetime warranty but it takes forever and a day to get time to do something if they do anything at all and their turn around time sucks and 7 out 10 time their not going to fix the prob or replace anything. By the time everything is said and done you have missed who knows how many races or you have to go out and spend more money to buy another servo until yours comes in so whats the point.

I initially was told that Hitec servos came with a "Lifetime Warranty". That is why I went with them and I havn't looked back. I was told recently that they reduced their warranty coverage to 3 years same as JR. I may have to look into how long the actual warranty coverage is for.

the jr 8800t is a chancy servo as well unless you dont run very often. seen one of those go out last night too. these are all at a new track where a lot of people are learning about where to put money. the z9100s's start twitching for fixin. they shake and you can hold them back still when they are in the twitcking faze but for the $130 id get the z9100t. the speed of the 9100s is a little better but iv seen so many of them burn. altogether id likely go hitech and not need a regulator when you go lipo. so far i havnt seen 1 guy burn hitechs(high end hitech) up on lipo which is a great buy to run unregulated lipo.

the twitching is only wil the car in in the air and in a nutral position. this is common with fast digital servos. when they first were used in airplanes around 10 years ago, this was showing up in the control surfaces when the got up to a certin size. there is a fix for that, but sence it really only shows up when the car is on a starter box or car stand, it's nothing to worry about. just grab the wheels and it will stop.

the fix is to drill a hole below the one that is being used on the horn now. if your horn already has adjustment holes, then just go for the next one in. yes it will "slow" the steering down but it will give you more torque. this is something we did on tail servos on helicopters to stop the "wag" in flight.

Yes i have as a matter of fact...Back in the day when i ran MT's...I blew up a 645 and 5645 COUNTLESS amount of times...EVERY time they replaced it or repaired it NO questions asked and without ever asking for a bill...Not to mention it took less then 2 weeks despite me being in Canada.

Written rule for hitec is 2 years.....Unwritten rule is lifetime....If they Dont ask for a receipt How can they know how old the servo is ? IE free servo.....if you have a problem just sent it in with a return address and that's it...wait for your BN or repaired servo Back.
