Default New RC8 in the works?

When losi came out with the Electric "limited edition" buggy we new the new 2.0 was on the way. Is this the same for Associated because the electric RC8 is "Limited Edition"?

I look into the crystal ball and it says.........'not a clue, wait and see' . If a 'new' (updated) RC8 comes out it will only be updated with the parts the team are using now. Wait till the Nurenburg (sp?) show in Germany and see if AE have anything new. What i do know is Xray have a updated car for 09

Does anyone know if anyone is making a battery box hop-up?? I have seen some well done mods, but I would like to see a hop-up version.

Sup Speed?

well.... The way I see it......This is just AE getting in on the 8th scale electric craze. That would not necessarily mean a new buggy is on the way.
From what I read today, the Limited Edition is a RC8FT with the eConversion kit, RC8e body and BB's. It does not include parts to convert it over to nitro.

I just got a good deal on a RC8 roller and I plan on taking the ePlundge. I am doing a lot of reading right now.

Speedski, if you are gonna do this too we might have us a separate class this season.

scwrod, sup dude. I was actually talking about the battery mod where you move the RX pack foward. I did the mod and it works awesome. Now I just want a "nicer/cleaner" way of mounting it.

I have an old roller laying around too, I would definatley consider a conversion if I had too if there was a 1/8th scale class formed.

For me it seems it already has plenty of steering and I have not ran the batt mod. Maybe on some tracks I could see a benefit. If that was the case I would just add some weight in the front and leave the batt in the stock position.
call me crazy

From the "team" guys around here they say they moved the battery to the front to prevent the car from Donkey Kicking.

Guys do it for different reasons. It helps the car jump flatter, it helps with some steering or at least taking away some rear traction. Personally I think I'm going to go with a 2 cell lipo in the batt box and try a 2* or 2 1/2* rear toe plate. I don't mind the battery up there, but it sure does look hack and makes it a pain to take the mud guard off and clean the buggy up.

I'm betting we'll see a redesigned rc8 in the summer sometime. Almost think they'd have to if they want to keep up with the joneses. But when you have cav and maifield in the stable that helps keep the cars current for the better part of a decade or so. But 1/8 buggy is a different ballgame than 2 wheel cars.

I love AE more than any other car, but go TEBO & LUTZ!!
( I know they drive different cars, I just like the drivers)
: )~
