associated big bore qustion--help!
just got the big bores from AE they did not come with the bleeder screws though.i need to know if i can use the old one or do i even need them with these shocks.also i would like to know if the shock boots are suposed to suck in when the shock is compressed or does this mean air is getting in and somthing is wrong,of course there was no fluid in the shocks when i compressed them,if i add fluid will that stop or whats the deal.

no bleeding screws are req'd for the big bores!
just build them like shown in the manual - no need to worry about the shock boots.
you'll love these shocks - hands down!

Also one side of the piston has 6 center punches and the other side has 10. This will help you drill the holes better.
Or you can just order the GHEA pistons from TKO, this is what I use. Plus the team guys run them so your hole diameters are the same as theirs.

ok let me see if i get it-leave the stock ones like they are, than with the extras(that came in the kit)drill 2 more holes in each.than get some more and drill those to what u said for hard tracks

Then take an extra set of 4 blank piston and drill 1.1mm (number 57 drill bit) x 10 holes. Then you'll have a set of 4 1.1mm x 10 piston also.
These are the two setup I normally use, I may change my oil 2.5w-5w depending on the track. But this is a good starting point every time.
Setup 1 (bupmy soft tracks)
1.3mm x 8 front & rear
30w front & rear
bronze front & black rear
Setup 2 (hard packed tracks)
1.1mm x 10 front & rear
30w front & 25w rear
bronze front & black rear
