i have a hyper st pro
that id like to run on lipo power in the rx
could some one give me an idea on what i should look
for in a battery i have noticed them on ebay but what
c rating and how many cells mah size i do race and i have a charger for lipo as well so ur help would be appreciated

If your going to get a lipo receiver pack then you would want to get the highest capacity your budget would allow. Most receiver packs are 2 cell at 7.4V. That would mean that for most servos you have to run a regulator to regulate the voltage to 6V. Make sure you do research and find out what size lipo will fit in your car.

and yes i know u need a regulator
and this is why im asking here as ppl
on here would know more!!!!!!

easy - get PROTEK voltage regulator and protek receiver pack (they got both stick pack 2300mah version and hump pack 2000mah sizes) from amain and you are set to go.

Ok, first off what battery pack configuration does your ride accept, hump or stick pack? If it's hump then here are a few options:

- 7.4v Common Sense Lipo 1500 mah pack - this pack will last me through practice and all of my quals. I will then drop in a fresh pack for the mains. Or if your on a budget, top it off before your main. You can charge it at 1c, or 1.5 amps. Great little pack and very reasonably priced, also, it has a balancing lead, which I like as I always balance my packs:

- Orion also makes a nice looking pack, but it does not have a balancing plug and I don't know if that's a good thing or not, but check it out for yourself:

Carolinas has a few options for the Losi packs which come in either 1650 or 2000 mah ratings. You would need to check the fit on the larger pack as it could be pretty tight!

I am sure you will get varying viewpoints from others but these are the ones I am familiar with. Lipo is a smart choice if you are ready to make the move, i.e. have the right equipment to charge/balance them and don't abuse them, i.e. over charge/over discharge or leave them in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time. You will get hundreds of cycles out of these packs and crazy long run times.

yea mate probably look as if the stick pack would be the way to go as i have a stick pack nmh pack now wich is 1400ma atm the moment i race a 2x6min qualify`s
and a 3x6min finals but i will be trying another track that runs 3x5min qualify`s and 2x15min finals

i run the losi 2000 mah and losi reg. i like the protek reg though it has a diff color light when you battery is getting low nice feature.
