Default RIP: Chris Chianelli

Chris Chianelli From DIY and Rccaraction died in his sleep on Monday January 19. Chris had a love for all things RC and Model Railroading. His shows taught new comers about RC and helped make RC a great hobby for alot of people.

RIP Chris

That is sad. I don't think he was that old. Shame

Wow...that is very sad... I loved watching the DIY shows, he certainly did love all things RC. It is a great shame to lose him. R.I.P Chris!!!

Sorry I don't have any details, just that the RC/hobby community has lost a good person.

Wow what a shocker. Met him a couple of times, he even showed me how to make one of his cut off visors once at Top Gun. He was involved in some of my earliest memories of the RC hobby. He will surely be missed

I'm really hoping that this is a "misunderstanding".

I have been searching and have found nothing official, but, for the first time in ages, RCNet hasn't posted a YouTube article, RCCA or MAN. That's foreboding.

I have contacted one of the editors that I'm on a rules panel with, but he hasn't logged in either.

It's a terrible loss for his family, co-workers and the RC community if it is so.

Unfortunately, it is not a rumor or misunderstanding.

Our hobby has lost a special person. He will be missed.

I was trying to remember where I had seen his name before, then I remember that show on DIY. He was a great advocate for the hobby, I'm glad he was able to contribute to the masses. RIP.
