Default Losi 8ight deal?

I was wondering if this is a good deal??http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...:X:RTQ:US:1123.
If I buy this new at my hobby shop it would cost around 700. I can put my own radio in and maybe a new engine for close to 450. What do you think?

if you can wait keep your eye on stormerhobbies, last month they sold off all the 8 buggy kits for 300, id bet they will do the same with 8t soon, but other wise the bay truck is a decent deal

or you could buy a brand new race roller for $329 and not have to upgrade everything on it

Ya but I already have a nice radio and he is offering without the radio foor less. Also I am going to dry to see if he can leave out the engine for around 230. If he does I am going to take the deal bucause that truck is in good shape with good servos so all I would need was a nice engine. What do you guys think??

i agree with retro, i would go the amain route and get a roller, itll set you behind a little, but the ebay truck is an rtr with 40 series tires so right off the bat the shocktowers and tires got to go, and you dont rellay know the condition of the servos just.02 c

id seriously wait and spend the extra $50 and get a new in box roller. you buy used theres usually a couple surprises included. take your time and setup some cheap servos propeerly until you can get some good servos. iv bought 8t's down every route you can amagine and much prefer setting up a new in box 8t. its always a good experience

Well he gave me a deal I couldn't resist. A roller for 200$. I already bought two nice servos and will use the ones included for back ups. I have a good radio set up. He said the front sway bar was cracked so I bought a new one and is that an easy fix? Also I bought a fresh pair of crimefighters. He said the wheels are wide offset and look huge. Are those good? The last thing I am confused on is what engine to buy. He is giveing me a spin start so I would preferably owuld like one that can be converted to spin start. Any ideas on a good engine thats around 150 to 200 and can be converted to spin start. Also what parts will I ned to convert to a spin tart?

It all depends on your budget. Why not just go for a mach 427? They are relatively cheap, easy to tune and have a heap of power.
