Exclamation Problems with my tmaxx 2.5r

well i changed the motor from a 2.5 to a 2.5r which is the same just the blue head, well i have problems because my carburetor is se up to stock but when i start the car if i leave the glow plug starter on it will not shut down but if i take it off it stops like instantaneously, ive changed the glow plugs and sealed the carb and the pull starter, theres bubbles on the fuel line but ive changed the fuel lines and the gas tank so i do not know what the problem is..

no its not... i've had it ammm probably for about 3-4 yeas now but the motor is brand new probably like 2 hours run

I had an engine do this, wasn't a TRX, but would run as long as the igniter was still on. Would kill as soon sa pull igniter off. Mine was a massive air leak. When you say backplate, you pulled the PS off, then next piece as well to seal? Other thing, these carbs can crack if you get on the carb pinch bolt too hard to tighten, check that as well.

alright i will thank you...

well i saw this video which was on how to seal the engine with that engine gasket stuff so i did and now i know for a fact im not getting air leaks from my pullstart but maybe theres no gasket on the backplate.. ima check that..

also i might end up buying a new carb cause im having to much troubles

well duster it happend that the carb had a mayor air leak on the high speed needle so probably that will fix it up thank you for the help and ill be using the forums alot thanks again
