unless you really need it right now i would wait.

our racing season starts in april so I am waiting to see if it's really a new truck like MBX6 is compared to the MBX5R or if it's just a MBX5-T upgrade.

I love my Losi stuff, but Mugen is still top dog. If you like Mugen, stick with Mugen.

I agree.. If you want a Mugen why go with another brand? Ok.. i'm contradicting myself and here's why. I wanted an MBX6T, but I bought a Losi 8T for the time being. With that being said I didn't own a Truggy at the time so I just bought it. ($275 shipped) If already owned an MBX5T I'd certainly wait for the MBX6T.

Of course they are, rumor has it that it's being tested in Japan. I'm sure we'll see it soon, certainly before the spring racing series starts. It appears sales of the 5T are winding down, so it's only natural the new model will follow shortly.

You could wait around for the mugen.....

Or you could buy a losi and have the fastest truggy on the market.

I'm sure the mugen will be nice when it comes out but when is that gonna be??

When I was buying my current truggy it was between the mugen mbx5t and the losi 8T. Well I bought the losi and have never looked back.

I already pre-ordered my 8T 2.0. Can't wait to get it and run it.

I'd wait a month or so to see what the verdict is on the Losi. Sure it's fast, parts are everywhere, but as we saw with the 1.0v, it has some issues. We'll see if the 2.0 solves most of them. I've got to admit though, I do like the new 2.0 body.

Mugens, on the other hand , are tried and true. Though not perfect and a little on the porky side, they are reliable vehicles.

There never were problems if you set it up correctly and spent like $20 on some little mods. I have been running mine for 2 years without any problems.

Yhe main thing I have heard is that losi's go through servos. Well if you buy cheapo servos of corse it will but that is true with any brand. Run quality servos and set EPA's and linkages correctly and you will have 0 issues. 2 years now running both buggy and truggy without one single servo failure.

As for breaking when driven aggressively, I call bs on that one too. I have put mine through some seroius $hit with no major breakages ever. I can count on 1 hand how many DNF's I have had over the past 2 years.

My aggressive driving is hitting $hit!!! Like landing upside down (happen to me last week trying to be a guy to a jump. he hit me mid air and i landed on my hood. didn't brake a thing). Landing on one tire. Stuff like that. I am not sure how Losi's are when it comes to those kinds of things. Maybe losi's can take a beaten. But i am not sure cause i never had a losi. that is why i said i would be pissed going to another truggy and it starts breaking on me. Mugen has been faithful to me in regards to being durable. I never had a losi so that would be a concern to have moving to another kit. that's all im saying.
