Somebody just posted in the Sirio thread that Star/Sirio will be producing the 'new' line of Orion engines. Don't know if that will affect the 'US Spec' line here (or if it's even true at all).

Wonder if those carb restrictors will fit the Jammin engine?

Any opinions from drivers who have this motor?

The CRF line will still be made by Picco.

http://www.redrc.net/2009/01/team-or...-line-engines/

will there still be a CRF version if there's gonna be an ABI version?
hmm..

if it's gonna be a 5port with STi treatment ala sirio kanai then i suppose it's gonna be great!

sidenote- why did orion go with star motor? picco have been making engines for them since the WASP days.. except for the made-in-japan 1st gen CRF .12

sidenote2- wonder if this is a myth but do the OEM manufacturers 'keep' the best engines for themselves? (picco, star/sirio, OS, novas, etc..)

latest news..
"It is also understood that the Sirio brand name will no longer exist following this deal (with Team Orion)."

Does any of the Orion drivers use the Alpha ABI engine?

That's incorrect. King and Cavalieri are running the Orion 3-port Alpha ABI engine in buggy. Cavalieri is running the same engine in truggy, and King is running the Orion .24 Alpha ABI in truggy. I don't know which engines Jared is running, but he also has the Alpha engines available if he chooses to use them.

My fault. Sorry

EDIT:

From Neo-Buggy

Cody King use Alpha 3-port engine
Jared Tebo use US spec version
