I'm definitely modifying the engine.... As far as tossing it back on the dyno thats the plan as long as i actually have the time to get it back on the dyno before Dunbar heads to CRCRC for the race up there. He will be running this engine there... I have a line of customer engines to get done, so those will come 1st. But im sure sometime in the near future I will post some modified charts of this engine.

Anyone know what CRF means? I saw this in an ad, but there was no explanation of what CRF really is. The impression I got was that it was a coating or design feature, or something.

Hello, CRF is the name of the designer who invented the angled crankshaft used in all CRF it stand for Concept Ramella Fabrice. Also searching I found on a German website some more pictures.

it looks good but the vspec you do still seems to be the king so far have you dynoed any novarossi motors the 21k for instance?

I have dynoed quite a few Novas since I have had the dyno. But I havent had the 21K series up on the dyno yet. SOO many engines so little time.

Adam, do the new CRFs come with the high needle unassembled like the one German picture infers?

Also nice work on the mod, looks like an impressive gain. I had a stock 08 version, and according to the graph...it would take Dunbar to hang on!

The 2 engines that Brian brought over to me were already assembled. I will have to ask him if he had to put the HSN in it or if it comes with another HSN.

the engine come with 2 LSN's both different profiles.

Not sure if one is the original 21CRF offroad needle and the other is the US spec as there is no info given.

also the restrictor sizes are 8, 7 & 6.5mm for the us spec

I believe NEO Buggy did a review on this engine in Dec of last year with information about what all they were going to include with the mill extra. I got the engines about a week ago and it was the 1st time I had actually checked them out "in person". Brian didnt bring any other needles here for me so I didnt know if they actually came with them or not. I dont believe they have released yet in the US, I could be wrong though.... I know I couldnt find any online stores in the US selling them a week ago when they arrived here anyways.

Looks like they are still just putting CRF cranks in piccos which is good IMHO.

So, does that mean you can swap the picco guts into a orion case, or vice versa if need be???
