Default N-Control R/C Austin -- Video

Ok I made a smaller one and the full sized one this time. Slightly lower bandwidth but you won't notice it. I'm still having problems with embedding the quicktime stuff. Any Apple Guru's out there? It works ok but takes forever to start up. You can view page source on this page and check out what I'm doing wrong

Small 640x380 Same as the embedded file

Full size 872x480 square pixels deinterlaced High profile 3072KBytes video 128kb audio

Hang in there I'll get this mp4 stuff all working smoothly soon. The embedded stuff is a real pain to work with because it either works or it doesn't. No error messages or any way to put error messages in there to see what's not working. If I could just get the video to start up sooner.

I really like the results I get using mp4 as the encoder though. Its hard to believe the file sizes you end up with using a fat video stream. I've been seeing this image all along but noone else has been able to see it as the encoding lowered the res enough so you couldn't tell the XL2 from the Pana camera really.

Boy am I out of shape though. My legs are crap again. After all that work they are just as bad as ever. I'll just have to get out more often and tough it out for a month or so till things tone up.

I'll be taking a boat trip up one of the local rivers soon to video some Bald Eagles. There are a ton of them up there nesting this time of year. My neighbor across the street's son is the boat driver so I don't have to pay even I rushed out as soon as I received my XL2 to try and get some video of the pair that nests between Kingsland and Llano but they had already left for the north. Those puppies are huge. Pretty cool to watch them go out and hunt then bring it back to the chicks. So stay tuned I'll slide that video out amongst some other ones soon
