Default Which Big Bore Shocks??

Hey all, I live in the UK-So if you link please link for UK sites.

I have a hyper 8.5 All stock, With A Go .21 7 port, Im now after some Big Bore shocks.. as one of my Front shock Shafts has bent. So think its now time to upgrade. What are the best Big Bore's at the mo, I hear alot of people like the Hong Nor's. But what do you guys recommend for me, I would like to here what you run and some plus and minuses of them.

Thanks alot, The track I run is relativly smooth, but has alot of large jumps.... if that helps probally not haha

Cheers!

Caster racing has shops in the UK and have 16mm BB shocks threaded and not. And they are of excellent quality, and the price is reasonable.

Im leaning towards the Hong Nor's As my local track alot of people use them. And parts are easier to get hold of over this side of the pond. But all shops are sold out of springs except the Super Soft..! Bit annoying.. But just curious.. will nearly all Big bore springs work on other bog bore shocks or not.. Like the caster ones.. work on the Hong Nor.. Im guessing Yes.. but not 100% Sure..?anyone know

As long as the outer diameter of the shock is the same size the should work.

In the UK you can buy them from Apex models or Modelsport UK. Probably more shops carry them but these are the ones I found.

Give the Caster ones a try - you will be pleasantly suprised to be honest - the quality and the build is spot on. They are also more reasonably priced at 22.50 / pr and thats with 2 prs of springs as opposed to the HNs that were over 50 without springs. To compare them you would need add 2 full sets of springs making them up to 66 as opposed to 45!

Several stores have them including BMM, Morley Models, Speedy Models and more.

Yea, I decided earlier to go With the Hong Nor's as spares are alot easier to come by near me. Plus majority of the local guys run Hong Nor's So If needed I could always borrow a spare. I know its a exspensive route, But I personally dont mind paying the little extra . And having spares more widely avaliable to me. Thanks for the help guys!
