Default Losi 8ight Starter Box Mod

Hey guy's i was reading some wear that you could take the new motors out of the new E-Revo and E-Maxx and put them in the Losi Starter box and it would fix the cheapo motors that Losi use's.Is this true my box took a crap and i need to fix it and was looking for the best way to do it.O an how do you get the gears off the end of the motor in the losi box they don't have a set screw do they just pull off.

yeah, i think purdy much any electric motor like that would work. The emaxx ones are purdy stout so i think thats where they are shining. I have the Ofna Truggy box, but if i end up with more vehicles, and you know i will, i wont buy the truggy box for a buggy, I run Losi, and i would buy the losi box and upgrade the motors. And i would assume that if there is no set screw its a pull off.

Watch your wiring and get your connections perfect so you dont have issues at MAIN time!!

You can use the E-Maxx or E-Revo motors for the Losi starter box, but you have to buy new pinion gears. The old ones on the Losi box are pressed on. Amainhobbies carries new replacement pinions. Here is the pinions set that you will need. http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ducts_id/16166. I burnt one of the motors in my Losi box and just upgraded them to the Traxxas 23t motors. Works alot better now.
