I'm only 16 and I've been racing offroad maybe 2 years but only every so often

I just got the Losi 8ight 2.0 and I love it

it drives great and it's hard as nails

haven't broken it yet, knock on wood.

It's a great handling car and if you want to get into racing I'd get it

But if you got the MBX6 then you'd have parts because your dad runs one

I'd say go with your gut and do what you feel is right

I have a Losi and their really good..but from just a set up and parts deal, I would run the Mugen..and I'm not even getting into the "personally" i think that the Mugen is more durable..and I still think that the basic clutch that the Mugen comes with is a more reliable set up..the Mugen also uses better bearings..one piece motor mount..comes with better tires also..but I still like my Losi..But if pops is spending the $$ be happy with whatever he gets you..
