The hyper 7 is a great entry level buggy, but if your racing I’d move to the hyper 9 to be more competitive.

If you're bashing, keep on bashing that tank. Seriously, I mean "tank" in a very good way. The 7 is a solid, very strong bug. However, if you are going racing it would definitely be worth it to get something of a newer, lighter design, especially if you want to be more competitive.

The latest and greatest would be the Hyper 9,lighter stronger, faster like the 5 million dollar man.

If you're not gonna race it then I agree that you should keep the 7. They're still selling the 7, so parts will be available for a long time. Heck, if you're gonna race then keep the 7 for a basher and/or backup/loaner!

If you race I suggest you get a Hyper 8.5 as they're discounted heavily. You'd save $120 over the 9 (spend that on tires and/or a good steering servo) as the 9 is indeed their latest and greatest. The 8.5 is still highly competetive, well supported, and well liked.

And parts will still be available on the 8.5, even our 7 still has 95% of it's parts line still available.

Bashing - Keep hyper 7
Racing - Get the Hyper 9 and keep the 7 for bashing / back up.

I have the Hyper 8 PRO for bashing and i dont think I will be getting rid of it if I can make it steer

Is the hyper 8 or 9 more bash-able than the 7? The 7 is really a BASHER !

For now I am not thinking of going for race jus wanna bash around only, not sure will i go for race in the furture. But if I am really going to get a 8 or 9, I will go for the pro version.

I have had a Hyper 7 and 8 soon to be 9.

If you are bashing keep the 7 as metioned by others.

If racing the 8 would be better and is still a very competive buggy. It will be your driving skills that will be your limiting factor when racing.
Better still there would be a lot of good 8's for sale as racers will be updating to the 9.

Just sold my 8 for a bargin. The 9 is really still unproven with the club racer. Im sure it will be good.

NO Matter what you will be happy with any Hyper.

HYPER ON...

when you do want to race you may want to move away from the hypers they dont seem to have the best turning

hmmm, either you had one and didn't know how to set it up or you just haven't driven one at all, because I've had the 8, 8.5 and never had a problem with steering, and I've read that the 9 has even more.
