Default Werks B7 TL Pro

Well guys now that Christmas has passed I now have some extra cash to spend, and I would like to get a new motor. I would like something that has more bottom end than my current motor a dynamite platinum 21xp. I saw the werks B7 TL pro on amain for $249 and was wondering if this is a good motor. I have read that it has a insane mid and top end, but I was wondering how is the bottom. I mainly run at thunder alley in beaumont,Ca and the current layout there requires a motor with a decent bottom end. Any help would be greaty appreciated as I am trying to decide if I should purchase it or not. Other motor recommendations are welcome. My maximum budget is $270. Yes I know 30 bucks short of a v-spec.

B7 is a good motor.. I like mine.. 30 short of a VSpec and I think the new Plus 4 NovaRossi.

The VSpec is good Everywhere. Period. And you can almost never go wrong with NovaRossi.

Just save some..

How long has your v-spec lasted? I know the v-spec's are insanely fast and have great bottom, but I have heard that they only last 5-6 gallons. My budget is rather tight I cannot afford to buy a high end motor only to have it go out on me at the 5-6 gallon mark. I go to the track every weekend so I would like something that lasts.

The Newest Vspecs should last 9-10 gallon depending on your abilities to tune. My Vspec I dont have that much time on, Thats just what all my local VSpecs have been getting. Nova Rossi's are a good 9-10 gallon also. Any of them, You cant go wrong.

That sounds great. I have always admired the raw power of v-specs but I was skeptical of the longevity of it. Are there any other motors I should take into consideration? This will be my second nitro motor. Also what pipes do you recommend for the v-spec and any other motor you recommend? My current pipe inventory include the dynamite platinum 053, and a losi re10 pipe.

How good is the werks engine on bottom end. My dynamite platinum 21 is rather weak on the bottom, so I am looking for something that has something more.

It will be going in a Hot Bodies D8. The sale price of the werks engine is attracting me, and I have heard that the mid to top end is blistering fast, just need to know if the bottom is decent. My dynamite motor really lacks in that department and that is the one thing I do not like about the motor. I love having a fast mid/ top but I need a decent bottom due to the track I go to has some short run-ups on jumps.

I would get the V-Spec... I have both the B7 and the V-Spec and just keep going back to the V-Spec.. the Werks engine does not have the low end power that the V-Spec does. The B7 is great for a big and open track...

Amain has the V-Spec on sale right now for $284

I've been running the my V-Spec with the smaller red venturi and a JP-3 Pipe... good combo, good run times, can't go wrong.

where did you get $284 from? It says $299. I know it is not much of a difference but with my budget every dollar counts.

U can get a GRP .21 from Power House Performance. He is doing a special on them right now. for $250 U get it brand new with his race mod done to it. The owners names is Mark and U can get most of your answer about the mod off his web site. http://powerhousercperformance.com/index.php . There is also a thread on here. The motors runs great with this mod. And if U have any questions about it U can call him at his contact number on his site. I know alittle about the mod.
I will be happy to answer what I can. My cell number is 717-808-7988. As long as I'm up I answer my cell. But again I know some about the mod, Mark does the work. More technical questions about it should goto him.

Take care Bob W.
