This motor has lots of bottom and top end, and you'll get probably 10 gallons on it. I had a v-spec and this nova p5xs. the p5 is an animal!!!

if you are interested in the nova p5 i know powerhouse had one modded at a really good price. He ran one all last year in his buggy and its good for another season. That motor was unbelievable, it held a tune forever and was super quick.

You can get a v-Spec at RC mushroom for $225 new with the new carb, thats a motor you can't pass up. Good luck!

i vote against the v-spec dont trust them sometimes you can get good onse but other times......the werks b7 has a week crank shaft it has a good chance to snap. go for that grp its the best runnin mill out there and it will only be a pain to tune if u dont have the right plug but in saying that see what everyone is runnin at your track it gives you a good indication of what you want

Not that your statement was wrong BUT Werks redesigned the Crank on the 08 B7 I dont think they have crank issues anymore. I have one as a back up and its pretty good BUT I still love my GO 5 and 7 ports! BIG BANG for the buck!

Just to let you know of my experiances.. I broke an 07 crank and alot of others have too in my area. BUT I also know of some that ran these "07" engines to the end of their lifespan too BUT most crank problems happened in 07. If you read up on the NEW 08 spec they have changed the crank alltogther as well as most of the other internals as well as a rear ceramic bearing! my current 08 is fine BUT its my ready to race back up engine since I run truggy and buggy the engine was good for either In case of failures... My GOs havent skipped a beat! Love em!! lol shameless plug!!

And hey nover you could be right too?? Im just saying I thaught they fixed the cranks for 08. My opinion I think they got humped in the manufacturing section and bearing supplier in 07 it looks as if they ironed out all the details for 08... Ive been a loyal Werks supporter from the start of 2005 up untill the first of the year in 07 Ive had em all Collari B7 B3 Teamline B7 B3 and Teamline B7pro AND Teamline .28B7 Pro and now the 08 spec B7pro...my 08 season was trouble free almost 80% I was happy! GO all the way!!

I recently got this engine, I have yet to break it in. The pipe I choose will be the JP-3, will be using the Odonnel medium glowplug.
I like the price I got from Amain, 7-port, turbo plug, ceramic rear bearing all in one package.

here is a video some guy did about this engine

Thanks for all your replies guys, I went ahead with the b7 and my bro went with a non-tuned GRP. My bro is having a hard time fitting the b7 to his car. Is it ok to use steel washer found at the hardware store to shimm the flywheel so it isn't touching the carb output?

There is nothing to be afraid of with the 08' versions, plastic carb, new crank, ceramic rear bearing, idles all day and tunes correctly. I have 2 of them, NO issues.
