Last year when I was running the JPX.21 and JPX.28 engines I found the novarossi turbo #5 ULTRA plugs worked really well. Engines would idle forever and fire without hesitation.

No where on that site does it talk about plug taper. Not only that but it just says OS turbo for all 3 heat ranges of OD turbo plugs. It does not say P3,P4,etc. Then look below and they list an OD77 plug that is equivalent to an MC59 and an OS A3. The OS standard plugs are shorter than a McCoy plug. I guess what I'm saying is I do not put much stock in the accuracy of the list on that web page. Maybe I cannot go back to the Picco plug anymore. To be honest I never tried because any plug that will not last through break in is not what I consider a reliable plug.

Has anyone here actually compared the OD plug taper to the Picco plug taper?

If you popped the plug in break in you were pushing it too hard...or it was lean....we've had break in plugs last well into the 2nd or 3rd Racing gallon with Zero issues...the Ofna/Picco plugs are BY Far the most durable long lasting plug for the Jpx lineup.

I have run pretty much any turbo I could find in these Picco's....The best performing, most durable is without question the Picco plugs.... Now it may be possible to get a bad one every now and then, but as a general rule these are the best plugs you can buy for these engines....When I ran OD plugs I felt they lacked the same snap the Picco's have, the OS worked decent but in some cases they would leak unless you over torqued them into the head.... By contrast the Picco's fit nice and seem to have the perfect temp range for these engines, as wellt he Picco's tend to last much longer then the other plugs we have used...it is not uncommon for us to get 2 racing gallons from 1 plug..

What's the stock plug? I'm currently breaking in a .21, and while I do have a few P4 and 3s, I'd prefer to grab an equivalent or if absolutely necessary, the ones linked to above. I hate to pay $14 for plugs though

I just scored an Ebay deal. Four P5TH, one O.S P6, and one I never heard of before, Merlin #5. Six plugs total, under $30

Anyone ever try or consider trying a Sirio 2057 on this mill? For the time being, I'm using a JP3 ( a friend bought a used Hyper 8.5 with this set up, Im breaking it in for him ) and I'm not liking the way it feels. I've read the entire thread, and I see that the 086/053 versions seem to be the most popular, but since I already have the 57 and a 2056, I think I'm gonna try one or both out. If anyone has tried em, please post your impressions. Thx
