when i got my JPX.21 the first thing i did was took the head off take one shim out because i'm running 20%, ok now 3gallons into engine decided to to clean it up, i notice it was two shims stuck together my question is how many shims should i run or is it was a mistake that ofna put 3shims on the motor?

+1 no shims needed for 30%, unless you like your motors slower than they should be

I had some detonation on my first JPX running 30% without adding a shim. I added a thin shim to that one and a new JPX. They both run like a scalded dog. So I would say maybe add the shim if you want to be on the safe side. I do not think you will lose any performance.
The most important thing I have seen with these engines is the carbs have to be sealed where the aluminum and plastic meet. I also seal the pinch bolt and the banjo fitting.

Im pretty sure that OS and picco have a different taper on the bottom of thier turbo plugs.
