Default 1/8 buggy engine help

ok, i am looking to replace the 427 which came stock on my 8ight rtr. my question is this: what would you recomend for a good .21 racing engine? preferably around or under the 300 mark. the tracks i will be running on are indoor tight clay bluegrove and outdoor medium groomed (leisure hours raceway) thanks fellas!

ps, any coments specifically on the hyper .21 8 port or the jammin .21 or the odonnell .21 super sport?

I would go with the grp non tuned it can be had at around $200 on ebay or with a code from amain. It is easy to tune and has a surprising bottom end with good mid,and top. It'll last many gallons. If you'll willing to spend more like $300 go with the ninja jx21 has alot of power and also tunes easy.

i can comment on the jammin .21. this is a bad ars motor IMO! easy to tune and tons of bottom power and top end. i originally bought it as a back-up, thats why i only spent the $220 for it. i ended up using it for quite a few races as well as backing up my os speed. now it serves as a back-up for both of my racing buddies that i always go to the track with when they have motor issues. they have both used it recently and they both love it. one of the guys is actually going to buy it from me. the funny thing is that it can sit in one of our parts boxes for months and when some1 needs it, its easily tuned and does really well when called upon. hope this helps.

if they ninja jx.21 is on your list, which it should be for around $300. that is what i am running now, very good motor as well. ez break-in, tune, and great all around power. IMO just as smooth as the speed or GRP.

if you buy anything buy a novarossi, they are great motors, I personally run the GRP .21 tuned and love it but I have a novarossi in my 8T and it hauls, great engine imo
