Default looking for help on a xxx nt

So I'm totally new to this and I bought a xxx nt that was allready broke in. So I was told. I get it home and I can't start it, nothing happens the motor does not even kick over. I took it to the local store and they said it is probably the one way bearing over the starter shaft. I cleaned it and it kicked over a couple of times and then back to nothing. I was hoping someone else may have had this issue before. Like I said the motor does not kick over at all, if I slow down the starter it feels like it wants to try and kick over though.
Thanks for any help

You have to get a new one way bearing.
If it was just dirty then the cleaning would have solved the problem.
It helped, but as you know it's still slipping.
Get a new bearing and it should be good to go.

Default now its the gas!!?!

ok so I replaced the one way bearing now when I try to start it it wont suck up the gas. I tried to put my finger over the exhaust abd It will suck the fuel about 1/4 of the way up the tube, but that's it. When I take my finger off of the exhaust you can see it just drop instantly. How come it wont suck the fuel up the tube?

Blow into the fuel tubing that goes from the tank to the exhaust. Unplug it from the exhaust and blow into it. This pressurizes your tank. Fuel should make its way to the carb now.

Also be sure to check the flywheel nut. I bought a xxxnt rtr last year and the truck ran perfectly for a few tanks and then it started slipping. I went to start the truck and it wouldn't start like it should. Come to find out the flywheel nut was loose enough to let the flywheel slip on the collet.

Just something else to check......

I was also using a starter box though and not a electric starter

Ok so I blew into the exhaust tube and that worked great. Now I finally got it started, but the motor just revs out of control as soon as it starts. I dont know, maybe I should have bought one new because this is really starting to frustrate the heck out of me!! I tried backing off of the idle screw about 2 turns but it still revs uncontrollably as soon as it starts. Any ideas on that? By the way....thanks for all the help, I dont know what I'd do without this place.

Turn the throttle trim down.

sounds like it's really lean too, find someone in your area that has experience with these motors. Ask them to help you get it sorted out, these nitro motors have a lerning curve on tuning them.
