The OS 2030 pipe is made for the RG.

I ran the Nova 086 pipe with short header and it was ballistic up to a 110' straight. If its a bigger track just put a 14 tooth CB on and it will run with the best of them.

:)

so these are hot plugs right. when i was running 1/8 buggy i was always running mccoy 9's nevver had a problem so whats the big diff from hot to cold plugs.

I would reccomend sticking with os plugs. OS plugs are short plugs, whereas plugs like the McCoy plugs are long body plugs. You can use long plugs but you have to(or atleast should) run two copper washers with it instead of the standard singl washer.

just for everyone to know about mc59 plugs. i ran 2 head shims and got 8 gallons out of it.

O. S. A3 plug runs great in that engine with 30%. RG runs a little hot with the stock head (250'ish). You'll have to be careful with the aftermarket head b/c it will cool much better. Tune from rich to lean and make sure you have smoke throughout the powerband and you'll be all right. I use a JP-1 with mine on short tracks, but JP-2 is probably a better choice on a little bigger track if you're sticking with the Jammin pipes.

yeaklet4 12-18-2008 07:15 AM

is the a3 a cold plug

cjtamu 12-18-2008 12:05 PM

OS calls it a hot plug. About the same as the #8 I think, just a little warmer.

yeaklet4 12-18-2008 12:19 PM

so what are the pro's and con's of hot and cold plugs for this motor
