V-spec's are famous for the front bearing starting to leak after about the first gallon and a half. Also, use a P3 plug(extra hot). It burns the fuel much better at idle.

believe me, I checked every inch of the motor and sealed the rear cover.

So everyone knows, I called O.S. and they said since the V-Spec is a "race engine", there is no warranty,(unless the engine somehow has defective parts). they told me that I could send it in for repair, but I would have to pay for it. He couldn't quite undertand my perspective. I have a $270 motor and now about $65.00 in fuel trying to tune a motor that I have yet been able to use. This is the first time that I have not been happy with O.S. and the first time that I have called them ever with a complaint. I am stuck with a parts motor b/c is sure isnt worthy to race or even play.

I feel your pain Joe..Mine came out of the box with a leaky front bearing and a cracked case..It never even touched fuel because its sucked so much air I couldn't prime it, but OS told me to go eat it also, so I spent $200 on a new case, and new TKO bearings and I had a $500 V-spec..so after 6 months of me telling everyone how much OS sucks..I just got over it and now I wont buy any OS based products, not even their Glow plugs!!

Actually it is not the same as the v-spec case at all. Yes it will work with the v-spec, but it is really based on the OS 28 crankcase, but bored for a .21 sleeve. Just so you know.
