The Jeff Alessi, as in Mikeys littel bro?? As in Tony's son??

Dunno why the hose is on the motor either, my dad as an Ofna motor in his truggy with that hose on there, dunno what its about??

But back to the Mx thing, if you are THE Jeff Alessi, how do ya find time to race R/C cars too??? I figured racing at your level is a 24/7 deal??

OS RZ V01b , I had one years ago after seeing Greg Degani win the Worlds with it.

Nice engine , easy to tune, and reliable as heck.

The "Boost" bottle/rear cover was theorized to improve throttle response and/or low end power by storing vacum (case volume) below the needle in the carb. They may have helped older designed engines before internal timing was refined.

But non-existent in todays engines.

I had a V01b too back in the day... that's the engine the V spec replaced.
Jeff the hose is similar to a boost bottle in a bike or quad.

That motor rips. I put 7 gallons through one that I then gave to a friend. He used it for an entire season after that. Very reliable and very powerfull.

The boost tubing is there so it can get a pin hole and make you chase an air leak all day and/or suck dirt into your crankcase, LOL. I used to just plug them on my SBK's.
