We don't need an updated thread. The other thread has lots of info and is totally legit, whatever that means. There is good info on people that have built and driven the new cars and setups from Chad Bradley, and Rick and Ryan McCreary.

In my opinion, out of the box the truck is a handful to drive. I also believe with Chad's setup on it, it is a handful for us mortals to drive. I went through two X2's this summer working on setup for that truck. I knew from the get go if I had a truggy with too much steering I was on to something good. So I spent several weeks out at the track just trying stuff and this is the best I got it. It is a bit off the wall as far as what other guys are running, so if you try it, be sure to try it all.

Front

Shock Spring: Blue

Piston: 1.4

Oil: 45 Losi oil

Toe out: 1*

Ride height: bones level

Sway Bar: 2.5

Camber: -2

Caster Block: B

Front (Picture)

Shock location: #5 on tower; #1 on arm

Camber location: #2

Ackerman: #1

Sway Bar Preload: 1mm

Rebound Stop: Full

Rear

Shock Spring: Silver

Shock Piston: 1.4

Shock Oil: 35 Losi oil

Ride Height: Bones level

Sway Bar: 2.8

Camber: -3

Rear Hub: Plastic (Back Position)

Rear Hub Hinge Pin Hole: Upper

Toe Plate: 2.5

Anti-squat Plate: 3

Rear Picture

Shock Location: #8 on tower; #2 on arm

Camber Link Location: #6 on Tower; #1 on Hub

Rebound Stop: Full

Rear Sway Bar Preload: 6mm

Wing Location: 2-2

Differential

Front: Std 20K

Center: Std 30K

Rear: Std 7K

Clutch

Shoe: Jammin/HN Red Aluminum x3

Spring: 1.0x1; 1.1x2

Gearing: 13/48

Notes: I run the short shock ends on the front and long on the rear. I screw the ends in until they are tight on shafts, I think the manual makes you screw them in too far, not allowing enough down travel on the suspension.

---------------------------------------

With this setup the truck isn't as reactive, it still has lots of steering but, it has a lot more body roll. For me it is easier to drive that way, I setup for a corner and let the truck work through it. However if you drive a truggy like you stole it, more than likely you will not like this setup.
