yep he must of posted the pic while I was writing my first post.

We've all done weird things at some stage I'm sure and theres a thread to prove it here somewhere on RC Tech called something like

"whats your WTF moment in rc"

my common 1 is putting the fuel line and pressure feed line back to front when I'm in a hurry and not attaching the trottle ball cup and having the engine go WOT and I can't understand why

I got to find that thread.
My common screw up is after I wash my tires during a race weekend I put on the wheel nuts just finger tight and if something had gone wrong that I had to repair I would forget to tighten them with the wrench for my next run.

4 wheels are defiantly fast than 3... or 2....or 1

sounds like you've richened the bottome end way too much. lean (tighten) it up 2 turns again and then try this

basic way to get your bottom end right.

1. make sure you Idle gap is around .7 to 1 mm (the distance between the carb body and the carb slide looking down the throat of the carb.

2. get you engine up to temp before attempting to tune or your wasting your time.

3 give it a wide open throttle run away from yourself and back then stop it close to you listen to the rpm it should drop back to idle fast and not drop many rpm. if it idles really high and drops a lot of rpm back to idle after 3-5 seconds it generally means your to lean on top and too rich down low.

4.to check the lsn again do a WOT run away and back then stop the car close to you and using a pair of long nose pliers pinch off the fuel line just before the inlet valve about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch, the engine should pick up about 500 to 1000 rpm and then cut out after a few seconds. if the engine picks up a lot of rpm and takes quite a while to shut off then you too rich, and if it doesn't pick up any RPM and stops quickly then your too lean.

5 Once you get it fairly close using the pinch test then you can test the LSN using the clear takeoff method.
you once again do a WOT run away and back then stop the car close by
count to 10 and then take off again it should takeoff crisply and not blow a ton of smoke if it blows a ton of smoke and is sluggish it's probably too rich. if it hesitates and stutters with no smoke then it's too lean.

6. Once you feel ok you can fine tune top and bottom to ensure that both feel right.

it's just about getting the balance for you it can take some time but once your there it's worth it.

hope this helps

Adrian

when you go full throttle and allot of smoke comes out of the pipe when it just starts to accelerate your to rich on the low speed lean it by 1/8 of a turn until the car accelerates quickly and smoothly, you should still be able to see smoke
not a ton but some
for the high speed you should still have smoke coming out of the pipe at max rpm again not allot but some
