So I took the rear differential apart on my TT EB-4, I was going to put some 2000wt, in the rear and 5000 in the front/center. I just took apart the rear, it appears at the factory they pack them with grease. So should I completely disassemble and clean the rear diff then put the 2000 in? Or should I just add some silicon to the current grease? At least it's not dry from the factory.

Yes clean it. I don't know if that is grease or broken down silicone diff fluid. Either way, you should clean it up good. There is a company that makes a 'diff dipper/dunker' that you can place the diff parts then dip/dunk it into a cleaning solution. (like Naptha)

I think that is basically just a standard utensil you can buy at walmart/target/bed bath and beyond etc. called a 'tea infuser' or 'tea ball'. It is what we made tea with before tea bags were so common.

Anyway, clean that rig and get it back on the track! (also replace the seal!)

I cleaned it up, going to replace w/ the 2000 diff fluid now. One thing I cannot figure out is how to remove the pin from the gear on the side of the diff body. There is just no way to access the pin. The schematic shows a pin connecting it but again, I see no way to access it. It's not a big deal however, I can clean it up well enough.

Take a pair of needle nose pliers and grab it.....then wiggle it loose. The grease is all that's holding it in.

Got it.. Thanks! I pulled on it from the axle side but it makes sense because the pin is holding the axle, not the cog. Thanks for the heads up.... I'm practicing on my Thunder Tiger so when I build up my Mugen it's spot on.

Thanks for posting this, I had a crash course in diff building last night. I used the Team AE Silicone Diff fluid so I could run different weights. I'm running 5k front and center, and 2k in the rear.
