any one using the tamiya trf801xt yet
just looking for engine review, i an new on truggy, just don't know what engine to get, let me know what you guy using, and how you like.
and any you have any trouble building, my came it defect part have to send back to tamiya, still wainting on the part back.

handles ok, still fighting a mid corner push, put hard blue springs up front.
what part was defective? I'm assuming one of your motor mount plates because you only have one on. I used a little longer mount screw and put 1/10 on road tamiya wheel nuts to secure the motor plates.
so far I like it. I use a OS Speed. make sure you use loc tite, lot of my stuff came loose. Make sure your shock caps are nice and tight, they like to come loose. Also loc tite the small cap screw that holds the shock piston to the shock shaft. I know it has a spring washer to keep it tight however, all of mine came loose. They haven't come loose after I loc tite them.

yes was the motor mount plate, missing the thread for the screw, thanks for the tip, and how about the os speed, how do you like?? usually how long do the engine last?? all my nitro stuff i never run more than a gallon, i see lots o people selling there engines it way more than that.

I have my set up posted on teamtrf.com The set up was from RCMADNESS track. It worked pretty good being it was our 1st race with the truck. Tamiya USA will be attending the SIDEWINDER Race at Thunder Alley in a couple weeks. Hopefully some of you guys will make it out. I'llbe there to help

Patience People I'm glad to see that people are already interested in a Tamiya Buggy. I'm sure in the coming weeks/months there will be some official info regarding the buggy.

Just finishing up my review of the truck.. I didn't have a particular problem with stuff coming loose - just use the provided threadlock stuff and you're sorted. The little piston screws aren't shown with threadlock in the manual but are absolutely vital!!!! I managed to kill a damper because this tiny screw came loose 
I'm really happy with how the truck handles, steering off power is awesome and the whole truck just felt really sorted from the box.. Could use thicker oil in the centre for my tastes and thicker shock oil all round but I was never expecting the kit setup to stay as-is of course, and it goes really well.
First proper race with the truck I finished 4th in the A, about 20 trucks there all together and it was my first time racing and first time at the track. I normally race electric off road not this nitro madness.
